Medical Documentation and Secretariat

At the Executive Board meeting of the Council of Higher Education on 27.03.2019, it was deemed appropriate to establish the “Medical Documentation and Secretarial Services” program at our vocational school in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, amended by Law No. 2880. Sufficient teaching staff have been provided for the program, and the school’s physical conditions have been made suitable for incoming students, ensuring the program is ready to address the shortage of medical secretaries in the sector. Graduates of the program can work in both medical units (such as polyclinics, laboratories, and emergency services) and administrative units (such as patient admission and patient file archives) in private or public healthcare institutions. Graduates are awarded an Associate Degree diploma and, in accordance with the Council of Higher Education Executive Board’s decision dated 27.07.1992 and numbered 92.26.698, they receive the title of Health Technician (Medical Secretary). In order to obtain the associate degree and complete the program, end-of-term exams are generally held for a period of two weeks at the end of each semester. Additionally, students are required to complete their institutional internship.
